My partner has a cold/flu. Is it a bad cold/flu? Well as he is a male therefore it is and he is a dying duck. He had been too ill, oh yeah, to even take the dog for a walk.
Now I have the flu, I still have to clean the house; cook meals and walk the dog.
I did get a sleep in this morning but only because Tom felt better and had been up all night on the computer talking to his mates in the States and playing, Americas Army. It was nice to have a sleep in and get up at 11am instead of 7am. And there was my faithful Redd by my bed. I peered down at him and his tail thumped the floor.
I have informed Tom I am not cooking anything today, he can get his own meals.
Today is my day off. But I am going to have to take Redd for his afternoon walk, not that I really mind, as his lordship is fast asleep on the lounge.

Redd

Redd's behaviour has gotten so much better. He is a different boy to when we got him. Most of all he no longer growls at or bites Tom, such an improvement. Redd gets of furniture when told to rather than growls at Tom. But he is still a little defensive about his stones when bringing them home. He will give just a little growl but it is not a really threatening one, no bared teeth to go with it. We accept that and warn others usually children not to touch his stone even when he drops it as he will snatch it if any tries to take it. He might inadvertently nip them. Yet once the stone is in the house he loses interest in it. We gather all the stones and rocks, sometimes quite large ones, and take them back to the beach and/or the burn.
Redd is still a little bit of a handful, plenty of time to improve.
